Investment in Character
Investing in Scouting is an investment in tomorrow's leaders. The Boy Scouts of America has a proven track record of shaping youth into people of outstanding character who understand the meaning of accountability and the importance of servant leadership. By contributing to Scouting, you will have a profound impact on America. More youth will experience the program, further instilling values and character in their moral fiber.

Forms & Documents
Scout Medical Form
All participants in basic Scouting activities such as local tours and weekend camping trips less than 72 hours in duration.
Part C applies to long term camps. A pre-participation physical is needed for Long Term Camps, Wood Badge, Jamborees or events 72 hours or more in length.
Merit Badge Counselor Application
A merit badge counselor is a responsible adult with knowledge and enthusiasm about a career, hobby or other subject who is willing to share that knowledge and enthusiasm with Scouts. There are more than 135 merit badges to choose from and you can be a counselor for more than 1 badge!
Training must be completed for applications to be accepted. For Merit Badges that require certifications (Climbing, Canoeing, Archer, etc.), you will be asked to upload copies of those credentials
Explorer Medical Form
All Exploring participants (adult and youth)– for any event or activity less than 72 hours in duration.
A pre-participation physical is needed for everyone (adult and youth) for any Exploring event or activity 72 hours or more in length.
Eagle Scout Rank Applications
Eagle Scout Rank Applications and all required paperwork must be submitted to the District Advancement Committee. After being reviewed by District volunteers, the application and paperwork must be submitted to a Longhorn Council Service Center for verification of dates and signatures prior to a candidate's Eagle Scout Board of Review.
Camp Properties
Sid Richardson Scout Ranch
Sid Richardson Scout Ranch on Lake Bridgeport with 15 miles of shoreline & 2,500 acres of cliffs, prairie, & forests.

Worth Ranch
Worth Ranch on the Brazos River at the foot of Kyle Mountain with 800 acres of camping.

Camp Tahuaya
Camp Tahuaya is a beautiful, heavily forested 150 acre-camp with the largest natural spring in Texas.
Directions: South of Fort Worth. Enter “2603 Tahuaya Dr, Belton, TX 76513” into your map or GPS.
Hills and Hollows
Hills and Hollows is a small 20 acre camp with 4 campsites and a pavilion building on the south side of Denton.
Directions: In Denton. Enter “Hills and Hollows Scout Camp 3945 Roselawn Dr, Denton, TX 76207” into your map or GPS.
Camp Shuler
Camp Shuler is a 50 acre primative campsite with mountain cedar wilderness near Lake Whitney.

Camp James Ray (out of Council)
Camp James Ray is a 540 acre camp on Lake Texoma that is out of Council.

Awards & Advancements
Texas Scout Award
The Texas Scout Award is an optional badge the Scouts BSA can earn and learn about Texas history.
To earn the Texas Scout Award, you must be an active Scout, Explorer, or Venturer registered in a Troop, Post, or Crew in Texas and complete award specific requirements (see details here).
Texas Badge Cub Scouts
The Texas Badge is an optional badge the Cub Scouts can earn and learn about Texas history.
To earn the Texas Badge, you must be an active Cub Scout (Wolf, Bear, Webelos, or AOL) registered in Texas and complete badge specific requirements (see details here).
