Fish-O-Ree 2025 Camp Tahuaya

January 18 & 19: Troops, Crews, Posts, & Ships Fish-O-Ree

January 25 & 26: Cub Scout Fish-O-Ree

Ever think, "I'd rather be fishing?" Grab your tackle box, here is your chance! Each December Camp Tahuaya's spring-fed lake is stocked with lots of Rainbow Trout from Missouri.

Participants keep up to 6 Trout per person. No limit on Bluegill & Bass. We will provide you the fishing license for the day. Please be kind & courteous to your fellow Scouts. Leave the lake better than you found it!

NOTE: Please make sure your group brings #10, #12 or # 14 single hooks or treble hooks. Recommended casting rigs are light 6' or longer fishing rods rated for 4 LB to 10 LB line (2kg to 5kg) and loaded with 4 LB–5 LB test line. Shorter rods are harder to cast. Bring PowerBait for Trout or mini marshmallows - several colors.

If you would like to work on the Scouting Fishing Advancement Opportunities offered during the weekend, please print out the attached workbooks, complete what you can, and bring it with you to camp.

Registration is first come, first serve and attendance is limited so sign up now to secure your spot!

All Participants & Staff need to have Medical Form Parts A & B completed and on file with the unit leader at the event.
