Welcome to Frontier Trials District, serving North Texas and a part of Longhorn Council. With almost a 100 scout units and 2000 scouts, we continually strive to deliver a solid scouting program within every unit. We believe a great unit begins with trained and supported scout leaders. We invite you to join us each month at our District Roundtable for both Cub Scout and Boy Scout leaders to learn, share and celebrate great scouting programs.
Roundtable Meetings- 1st Thursday of each month, 7pm at the First Baptist Church of Denton on Malone Street. A general meeting with district and council announcements will be followed by breakout sessions for leaders in various capacities. Any interested parties are welcome to attend. That includes leaders as well as parents. Childcare during the meetings is not provided. The meetings are scheduled for 7pm-8:30. Occasionally they may run over depending on the topics covered. The September meeting is usually a welcome back meeting. The October meeting has included a bloodmobile visit. In the late spring there is a training session for summer camp for Cub Scout leaders. Please consider encouraging the leaders in your unit to attend in order to network with other leaders in the district. Information, training and fellowship of other adults in scouting is the emphasis at Roundtable. Come give it a try.
